Samsung Galaxy S8 Design

Samsung Galaxy S8It is true that Samsung is currently working on their new handset which probably called as Samsung Galaxy S8. Although the handset is not announced yet, but people has taken earlier start to foresee everything about it, includes about Samsung Galaxy S8 design. Samsung has made their products so familiar for users especially for its high quality product and good prices. Therefore, it is not surprising if the attention for the launching of Samsung Galaxy S8 is also so extraordinary.

Report about Samsung Galaxy S8 design

As a common user or fan of Samsung Galaxy, it is possibly not very easy to predict what the new handset will be. Otherwise, the analyst seemed like taking their easy way to make some prediction on the upcoming device. Just like a report from Korea’s ETNews, it says that Samsung wants to ditch the Home button, integrated its functionality into the display instead. Apparently Samsung has their reasons to do this so that they can fill all of the front of the Galaxy S8 with just screen, based on the report. While the other rumor says that the Galaxy S8 may have significantly smaller bezels than the Galaxy S7. We also got some clues about Samsung Galaxy S8 design from the statement of Park Won-sang a Principal Engineer for Samsung Display who said that the company was aiming to introduce an OLED display with a greater-than 90% screen-to-body ratio. He went on to reveal that Samsung hoped to create a handset with a 99% screen-to-body ratio in the next few years. Most phones, by contrast, have an average ratio of around 80% screen-to-body ratio.

Rumors about Samsung Galaxy S8 screen were echoed by Bloomberg report from November who claimed that Samsung is planning to kit the Galaxy S8 out with an “all-screen front”. The article of the report says the “bezel-less” phone will “provide more viewing real estate”, with Samsung expected to ditch the physical Home button and bury its functionality in the other section such as in the lower section of the glass, instead. We also got another source that boost this rumor that is a courtesy of Synaptic announcement saying that it had developed a new fingerprint scanner – the Natural ID FS9100 optical fingerprint sensor. If Samsung Galaxy S8 has this sensor, it can scan your fingerprint through 1mm of “full cover glass”, which would enable Samsung to hide the scanner underneath the glass, rather than having to embed it in the Home button. This is why the expectation of rumors about Home button becomes reasonable.

Les Santiago, Research Director for analyst firm IDC says “By bringing optical sensing technology with the right form factor and power consumption envelope to smartphones and tablets, Synaptics is enabling the elimination of the Home button, which is a critical next step to full top-to-bottom, edge-to-edge smartphone and tablet displays.” As we can see that Samsung has used Synaptics fingerprint sensors on previous flagship smartphones, which is expected to be used on the Galaxy S8, too. From all these rumors about the sensor, apparently that this new sensor will make Samsung Galaxy S8 to a future Samsung handset. There is only one possible reason for denying rumors about this sensor, that is if Snaptics says manufacturers can sample the sensor from Q1 next year, with manufacturing beginning in Q2. This means that Samsung won’t have a chance in this year to bring it along with Samsung Galaxy S8 design.
